It was recently held at Weiheim, near Frankfurt, the important seminar dedicated to "Italian bread".
At the local Academy, one of the world's most prestigious ones that for over 80 years has been forming succesful bakers, numerous officers from all over Germany have arrived together with the idol Guntzer and all the master bakers, winners of the 2008 world championship.
Guest of honor of the event, master baker Valerio Buonocore, member of the "Arts and Crafts Club", the national union that rules the Italian bread laboratories in the most important international events.
The former world champion with the Italian national team in 2009 is already well known and really appreciated in Germany, where he has left his mark, in 2008, during the "Sudback in Stuttgart", the largest bakery trade fair for Central and Eastern Europe.
Through a demonstration, which was a true lectio magistralis for all the German colleagues, he presented some of his most prestigious non-conventional recipes: braids with olives and almonds, tomatoes and savory sage loaves, bread sticks with cinnamon and lemon, rosemary schiacciatine, rolls with squid ink, apple pies, lemon plumacake, croissants, swivels, and saccottini; all productions of his passion and genius, in an age of anxious contrasts and uniqueness, which faithfully reaffirms the role of the baker as an artist, a jealous guardian and interpreter of the perfect knowledge, smells, experiences, colors, emotions and delights of his home land.
A real success for Valerio Buonocore, that has confirmed his role as true ambassador of the "Italian gastronomic excellence" and more particularly of the Amalfi Coast.
